Planning the summer schedule without a fight
Shared by Curated by CoreParent
Summer breaks the school-year rhythm with camps, vacations, and childcare gaps, and suddenly every week is a negotiation, usually at the last minute and under pressure.
What I tried
Winging it week to week, or springing vacation plans on the other parent after they're already booked.
What worked
What tends to work: plan summer early, on paper, before camps sell out. Trade vacation-week picks (you pick first this year, they pick first next), share dates in writing well ahead, and divide camp costs and logistics up front. A boring spreadsheet in March prevents a dozen tense texts in June.
