How the shield works
When a message from your co-parent arrives with hostility in it, CoreParent shows you a calm summary of the parenting content instead of the raw text: what they are actually asking, what needs a decision, what can be ignored. If a message is pure venom with nothing actionable inside, the shield says so, and you can skip it entirely.
The original is always one tap away. You stay fully informed and fully in control; the shield just means reading the hostility becomes your choice instead of your obligation.
The record stays exactly as they wrote it
Nothing is edited, softened, or deleted. Every message is stored exactly as it was sent, with its original wording and timestamps, and that original text is what appears in your court-ready exports. The shield changes what you have to read in the moment, never what the record shows a judge.
For many parents that combination is the point: the hostility keeps documenting itself while losing its power to land.
Protection that reaches your lock screen
A hostile message should not ambush you at dinner with your kids. When the shield catches one, the push notification shows a neutral preview instead of the message text, so the first version you see is the calm one, whenever you choose to open it.
Free, in English and Spanish
Conflict Shield is included with every CoreParent account, free tier included. Elsewhere in this category, incoming-message shielding is a premium add-on at around $15 per month. It works in English and Spanish, alongside the rest of Companion, which also helps you keep your own replies calm and court-appropriate. Common questions
Does my co-parent know their message was shielded?
No. The shield is a private reading aid on your side. Your co-parent sees normal delivery and read receipts, nothing else.
Is the original message preserved for court?
Yes, always. The shield never modifies the record. Originals keep their exact wording and timestamps, and they are what appears in certified exports.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Conflict Shield has its own switch in Settings, and you can also turn off Companion AI features entirely.
Is Conflict Shield free?
Yes. It is included with every CoreParent account, including the free tier.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. The shield reads and summarizes messages in English and Spanish, and the whole app is fully bilingual.
