Keeping both homes in the loop on school
Shared by Curated by CoreParent
Permission slips, picture day, the science project due Monday: school info keeps landing at one house and not the other, and the kid pays the price when something gets missed.
What I tried
Relying on the co-parent to relay everything, or trying to be the sole point of contact. Both drop balls and breed blame.
What worked
What tends to work: cut yourself out of the relay. Ask the school to send communications and portal access to BOTH parents directly, and add both emails to every class list and app. Put a shared calendar in place for due dates and events. When both homes get the same information at the same time, 'you didn't tell me' stops being a fight, and your kid stops being the messenger.
