More than 40 million people in the United States speak Spanish at home. Family courts serve mixed-language families every single day. And yet co-parenting technology has mostly treated Spanish as a checkbox: translate the menus, skip the moments that matter.
Today we are announcing something different. CoreParent is now fully bilingual, end to end, and it includes a feature no other co-parenting app offers: Translate, one-tap translation of messages between parents who speak different languages.
The problem nobody built for
Think about a family where mom texts in Spanish and dad reads in English. Every custody handoff message, every "can you pick her up at 3," every expense question is a small translation exercise. Copy the text, paste it into a translator, hope nothing important got lost, paste the reply back. In a relationship where misunderstandings already carry a cost, the language gap multiplies every risk.
We checked the entire market while building this. Some leading co-parenting apps offer no Spanish at all, and say so. Others translated their interface this year and stopped there. None of them, not one, translates the actual conversation between parents.
How Translate works
When your co-parent sends a message in the other language, a small Translate button appears under it. Tap it and you read the message in your language, clearly labeled as a machine translation, with the original one tap away at all times.
- The original is always the record. Translations are a reading aid for you alone. What your co-parent wrote is what stays on the record, and what appears in any export. Nothing you translate is ever visible to the other parent.
- It never softens or edits. The translation preserves tone and meaning exactly. If a message is curt, the translation is curt. This is a documented record, and you deserve to see what was actually said.
- It is free, on every plan. Being able to understand your co-parent is not a premium add-on.
Spanish everywhere else, too
Translate is the headline, but the work goes much deeper. CoreParent now runs in Spanish from the first tap to the last document:
- A court-ready parenting plan in English or Spanish. Build your plan step by step in either language, export it as a polished document, or translate an existing plan between the two with one tap. To our knowledge, no other co-parenting app produces a Spanish parenting plan at all.
- Companion reads Spanish documents. Snap a Spanish school flyer, court order, or vaccine record and Snap & File reads it, files it, and pulls out the dates and deadlines, answering in your language and confirming with you before anything is saved.
- Custody guidance for all 50 states, the child support calculator, sign-up, notifications, emails, and our legal pages, all in Spanish.
- One family price. No per-parent fees, no paid add-on to unlock the AI in Spanish.
Why we built it
CoreParent was built by two parents who lived this. Co-parenting is hard enough in one language. When a family speaks two, the paperwork, the deadlines, and the misunderstandings multiply, and the tools that are supposed to help quietly assume everyone reads English. We built the version of this app our own families would have needed: one where the language you speak is never the obstacle.
